Daytime Emmys To Air On The CW

GoldDerby.com reports that The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences are about to announce that the Daytime Emmys will be broadcast on The CW network in late August, most likely on Aug. 31. The news ends months of speculation on the dismal fate of the awards show. Though The CW doesn’t air any daytime soaps, it is the home of GOSSIP GIRL and various talk shows that are also in the Daytime Emmy world.
Pussycat Dolls Sing On OLTL

The Pussycat Dolls will perform on the May 13 episode of ONE LIFE TO LIVE. They’ll sing their version of “Jai Ho” from this year’s Oscar-winning Best Film Slumdog Millionaire at the Llanview High Prom. The Pussycat Dolls are currently on tour with Britney Spears.

Kristoff St. John (Neil, Y&R) appears on the sitcom EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS in an episode that airs on March 20. Kristoff will play himself when he’s brought in for a police line-up, thanks to a car accident caused by Chris (Tyler James Williams).
GH’s Michael Recast

GENERAL HOSPITAL has cast newcomer Drew Garrett in the role of Michael Corinthos III, replacing Dylan Cash. Garrett will first air on April 24, but Michael won’t be opening his eyes until May. Cash played Carly’s oldest son — currently in a vegetative state after being accidentally shot in the head — from March 2002 through May 2008. He last aired on Dec. 29, 2008.
PASSIONS Vet Jumps To AMC

Hot on the heels of PASSIONS alumni Eric Martsolf (ex-Ethan) and Galen Gering (ex-Luis) nabbing DAYS parts (Brady and Rafael, respectively), McKenzie Westmore (ex-Sheridan) has landed a role on AMC. Beginning December 12, she’ll play Annie’s (Melissa Claire Egan) psychiatrist, Dr. Sinclair, who will also interact with Ryan (Cameron Mathison) and Aidan (Aiden Turner).
